This Beautiful Wurlitzer Band Organ was completely rebuilt in 2006 with original parts and newly made parts. The case is from an original Wurlitzer Model 105, S/N 3825 which was painted with the Spillman Engineering Company name. We repainted the name back on after carefully copying the original insignia. Most of the pipework is new. Wooden trumpets were made and are included with the organ. As you can see, I replaced them with pipe organ oboe pipes as they have a brighter tone and carry well. Originally built in 1923, the organ probably served with a carnival as the Spillman Company was in the carnival ride biz. We built "Lolita" in 2006 and she has mostly been played at the Memphis Zoo only at the Christmas season so she has very few hours on her. She is decorated with hand painted Hawaiian motif and even has a dancing Hula girl which dances when the bass drum/cymbal is activated. The basses and stopped pipework are from pipe organ adaptation as are the high pitched flagolets (they are also stopped ).

"Lolita" has a glass front cover and is lighted from the inside with low voltage cool LED lighting as most people love to see the pipework and dancing hula girl. There is also a gold-gilded frame to put on the front if you want the full open sound. This Wurlitzer 105 Band Organ really carries well, as intended, and can be heard from a great distance. The glass front helps to bring the volume down a bit for close up or indoor listening. The bottom platform is solid wood and rolls on four heavy duty rubber casters. This protects the bottom pipework, helps project the sound of the bottom pipes, as well as making the band organ easy to move and set up, just easily disconnect the wind supply and lift off the drum wings.

This band organ is in Excellent Like New condition and has always been kept indoors with air conditioning. It is tuned and touched up (tuning lingo) every time she is to perform and has been babied to no end. Everything about the organ is LIKE NEW. She has just gone through a three day maintenance overhaul / check up and is in tip-top shape. The pressure bellows are original and completely rebuilt as are the vacuum bellows. The wind chest is new and all parts are made to original Wurlitzer specifications.
